On November 21, 2024, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 2814 successfully finalized a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Local 2814 serves as the exclusive union representative for FRA employees.

This CBA represents a significant advancement for all parties involved and includes numerous critical provisions. It was negotiated in accordance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 71 and Public Law 95-454, as amended. FRA, an operating administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) in Washington, D.C., recognizes Local 2814 as the authorized bargaining party for this agreement.
